Kanish Overseas is a Ludhiana-based manufacturer and exporter of complete bicycles and bicycle spare parts, with a second line in cuplock scaffolding accessories and trading in metal scrap, PET flakes and waste paper. Its 57-product catalogue spans 17 bicycles, 16 spare parts, 13 cuplock items and 11 trading grades. The firm is a "Govt. of India certified Export House" and ships bicycles and spare parts to the UK, USA, Belgium, Denmark, Dubai, France, Germany, Ireland, Italy, the Netherlands, New Zealand, Norway, Saudi Arabia, Sri Lanka, Sweden, Bangladesh and more. The bicycle range covers 9 kids models on 14, 16 and 20 x 1.75 inch wheels, some on twin tubing frames; 3 classic women's models with parallel or curved bars on 26 x 1.5 inch wheels; 3 mountain and Ranger bikes, including single suspension and front disc brake versions, on 26 x 1.75 inch wheels; and 2 classic men's models, the Classic 20 inch and Classic 22 inch, listed on 26 x 1.5 and 28 x 1.5 inch wheels. Spare parts include 9 hub axle types, A to I: thick axles with fitting set, both side grooved, with spacer, with A model cone, collar type cone or umbrella type cone, plus a hollow quick release axle, in 3/8 and 5/16 inch sizes, mostly 5.5 to 7.5 inch long at 26 TPI, along with hub cups and cones, hub nuts and washers and hub steps. 7 chain wheel cuts, Japan, Italy, Bird (RL), Utility, Star and Olympic, come cottered or cotterless from 28T to 52T, in CP, BCP or black finish. As a manufacturer, supplier and exporter of cuplock systems, Kanish Overseas offers 13 items: the complete cuplock scaffolding system, ledger blades plain or with hole, drop forged top cups with 3 or 4 legs, forged and pressed bottom cups, diagonal braces, intermediate and inside board transoms, extension adaptors, hop up brackets, vertical post standards and ledgers. Its import and export trading covers copper, aluminium, brass, radiator and SS scrap, HMS 1 and HMS 2 ferrous scrap, PET flakes, lead, OCC (old corrugated cartons), ONP (old newspapers) and e-scrap. The firm aims to import all kinds of finished metal products as well as ferrous and non-ferrous scrap, and to expand in India and overseas markets. Kanish Overseas was incorporated in 2009 as a partnership firm, and its GST registration dates from 2017. The partners are Ramesh Kumar and Kanish Goyal. Ramesh Kumar, around 75, brings more than 50 years of industrial experience, including international business in ferrous and non-ferrous metals and export of secondary and prime finished products. With Kanish Goyal, market reach has grown from Ludhiana to Punjab and parts of the world. The firm employs 51 to 100 people at its works and office on G.T. Road, Miller Ganj, Ludhiana, and targets a turnover of about 6-7 crore for the current year. Kanish Overseas has collaborated with a specialised Research and Development Centre in Ludhiana and keeps an in-house team that develops its own tooling for all processes. After CAD, prototypes are made in solid fibre and in steel and tested for all parameters. Production runs on automated machinery monitored by expert technicians, with quality checks at every step from raw material to finished product, and raw material is bought in bulk from reputed sources.
