Lead for import, export and trade from Ludhiana, Punjab, offered as lead ingots alongside other non-ferrous metals and scrap. The ingots are long, silvery-grey cast bars laid side by side in layers and bound into a bundle with brown straps. Lead also comes as small, dark grey rounded pellets with a dull, slightly dimpled surface. Lead is a soft, heavy metal ordinarily used in batteries, cable sheathing and radiation shielding.
