Neutralizer
Neutralizer
Oil neutralizer that removes free fatty acids (FFA) from oil, compulsory for cottonseed oil and castor oil treatment, offered as the TPN1 and TPN2 batch models. Cottonseed oil has higher FFA, which the neutralizer removes. Removing the acid as soon as possible stops a bad odour developing over time, which would otherwise call for a complete refinery plant, an expensive and capital intensive project. Oil heating is part of the neutralising process, by steam or by electric heaters, so two types are supplied: one works with a boiler, the other heats electrically and runs boiler-free. Castor oil treatment calls for a boiler. Depending on the oil to be processed, the neutralizer is equipped with a spraying system, open steam system, hot water injection system and agitation system. When ordering, state the capacity needed and whether a boiler is on site. The vessel is a teal vertical tank with a conical bottom on angled legs and a motor drive on the top cover; one variant carries a panel on its front. Models (capacity / net weight / volume in cubic meter): TPN1 500 liters / batch, 300 kg, 1.5 · TPN2 1000 liters / batch, 600 kg, 3.5
Cake Conveyors
Cake Conveyors
Cake conveyor for oil mills, carrying hot oil cake away from the expeller's discharge outlet, in screw type and belt type versions. Oil cake is the coarse residue left once oilseeds are crushed for oil. It comes out hot, continuously and in volume, so conveying it away from the milling area prevents big lumps and heaps building up at one place, reduces manpower and tedious work, and speeds up the whole cake handling process. The conveyor is an integral part of the oil extraction unit and transfers the cake in the horizontal direction to the required location; teal enclosed trough units are also set up at an incline, with the motor at the upper end. The screw type is made of steel screws and the belt type of rubber, each run by a motor. The design keeps the cake from mixing with unwanted materials, which matters because the cake goes on as highly nutritious cattle and poultry feed. The conveyors come in different capacities, suit both short and long distances, cut lost time and manual labour, and give fast operation in the oil mill. Built with innovative techniques, steel and a welding process, their sturdy fabrication gives a very long life, with a life span of 20 years.
Boiler
Boiler
Vertical steam boiler for oil mills, supplying the process steam that heats and cooks oilseeds in the cooking kettle before crushing, in three models: TPB16, TPB20 and TPB26. Steam forms as the water boils over a fire of husks, wood, coal or any agricultural waste; the feature list also names oil and other solid items as fuel. The steam leaves through an opening connected directly to the preconditioner kettle, where it pre-conditions and heats the seeds. The water feed pump is driven by a 1.5 HP motor and is described both as mounted separately and as mounted on the top of the boiler. Crushing of cotton seeds, copra and mustard seeds runs boiler-free, and kettles heated by electricity usually run boiler-free too. For plants that want to use LPG alone, a special boiler with a gas burner connects to an LPG cylinder at the same price and saves one operator for fuel filling; that design is built for gas only, in place of husks, wood, coal or agricultural waste. In areas or countries where a boiler is prohibited for certain seeds, an electrical kettle option in two sizes can be worked out. The boilers suit both small and large scale oil mill units. They are efficient and energy saving, give high steam generation rates with low running cost and lower maintenance, and are easy to install, assemble and dismantle. Safety features are installed in every unit. They serve almost all seeds, including groundnut, soyabean, sesame seed, sunflower, castor and kernels. The black cylindrical shell carries a pressure gauge, water level gauge glass, valves and piping, with a firebox door at the base and a flue outlet on top. Models (boiler size diameter / volume cubic meter / steam generating capacity / feed pump / fuel consumption wood): TPB16 16", 1, 50 Kg / Hour, 1.5 HP Motor, 40 Kg /12 Hours · TPB20 20", 1.5, 80 Kg / Hour, 1.5 HP Motor, 60 Kg /12 Hours · TPB26 26", 1.9, 150 Kg / Hour, 1.5 HP Motor, 80 Kg /12Hours
Filter Press
Filter Press
Oil filter press for oil mills, retaining solid particles to deliver extremely pure oil, in six plate sizes. Each plate carries two filter cloths, either polyester + PP or cotton + PP, with PP always on the outside so dirt cleans off it easily. Three cloth types, polyester, cotton and polypropylene, are supplied to match the seasoning effect, and fabric and thickness are selected by type of oil, moisture level, viscosity and oil temperature, since filtration quality is key for oil mill owners. Cloths fit by opening the centre round nut with a square hole, placing the cloths and tightening the nuts at the centre; a DVD supplied with the oil mill plant shows the method. The press is cleaned every 8 ~ 10 hours, and cleaning takes only 20~30 minutes. The press is made of high graded steel on a fabricated steel structure, a design the maker pioneered, and stands on a supplied base table that gives it height, so brick pillars are unnecessary and installation time and energy are saved. Plates are accurately machined for leak proof joints that withstand operating pressure, and tilt for easy cloth cleaning. The screw thread separates the plates with 50% effort compared to other filter presses. A filter cleaning tool, specially designed with a wooden handle, is part of the standard supply, the oil collection channel is SS 304, and a specially designed filter pump is offered, which some buyers insist on. An aesthetic colour coating finishes the frame in teal, with a row of chrome taps along the plates and a hand wheel screw at one end. Recently 450 filter presses went to a state government in India. Filtration capacity may vary with the type of oil, its viscosity and the % sediments (solid particles) it contains. Cake Elevators
Cake Elevators
Cake elevator, a bucket elevator for oil mills that lifts seeds and oil cake to feed equipment set at height, supplied mainly as a chain driven unit, with belt driven elevators as the second type. As part of an automatic oil mill setup, the elevator handles material during operation and reduces considerable manpower, and it is especially versatile where installation space is limited. In a groundnut line, the first elevator feeds pods from ground level to a decorticator at 6 feet height; a second elevator then lifts the seeds from the decorticator into a large overhead hopper that stores seed for crushing in the first expeller. These are the two main uses. Elevators are an optional addition: buyers with budget room gain considerable labour savings, while budget plants in countries with lower labour costs may skip them. The elevator is a tall, enclosed teal casing with a motor and drive wheel at the head and a feed hopper at the base.
Oil Expeller with Cooking Kettle
Oil Expeller with Cooking Kettle
Oil expeller with cooking kettle, also known as a mechanical screw press or oil press, for crushing edible and non-edible oilseeds into fresh oil and oil cake. Its 22" X 4" chamber crushes about 150 kg of oilseed, rated at 125 - 140 kg / hour or 3 Tons / 24 Hours, driven by a 10 HP or 12.5 HP electric motor. The expeller is the central part of an oil extraction plant. Oil falls into a small rectangular tank kept below it, and oil cake comes out from the other side. Seeds with more than 25% oil are generally crushed twice for maximum recovery: first with the cake about 8~10 mm thick, then about 3~4 mm. Cake thickness can be changed while the expeller is running. The cooking kettle is mounted on the expeller and driven by it. It heats and cooks the seed with outer steam from the boiler or by electricity, and a little steam or water raises the moisture to the optimum level so crushing runs easily and smoothly. The kettle holds 40 kg of seed, controls the flow of seed into the expeller, and passes the seed over a magnet that catches iron parts before they can damage the expeller. Round and long kettle designs suit specific oilseeds, in four types: Round Feeding Kettle (single bottom, for work where steam heating is unneeded), Round Cooking Kettle (double bottom steam jacket, where steam heating is necessary), Long Cooking Kettle (double bottom steam jacket, where steam heating is compulsory) and Round Electric Cooking Kettle (double bottom oil jacket, for indirect heating with a little added water, ideal for sunflower and run boiler-free). The chamber cage opens on hinges simply by tilting the chamber halves, sparing operators the lifting of heavy clamping bars and chamber halves. The oil pump is an integral part of the expeller. A ready foundation frame removes the need for a ground foundation, so installation is easy, the plant can start within 24 hours, and the machine can be shifted from place to place. Six taper roller bearings make the expeller sturdy and durable. The feedbox mouth is made bigger for crushing cotton seeds effectively, and the main pulley shaft diameter is 62 mm, the highest in the industry. Construction includes a steel fabricated chamber, cast iron bodies and base, a single reduction gear box with spur gears for low maintenance, a case hardened worm assembly, and graded steel of appropriate hardness for a maintenance-free plant. The compact build makes air freight economical for landlocked countries. The machine is finished in teal, with a belt-driven flywheel and pulley, hand wheels at the side and the kettle on top; a long kettle version carries a raised hopper and feed trough. Mini oil mills of this make are running in more than 90 countries, backed by 40 years of experience in the oil mill industry. Expellers are guaranteed against manufacturing defect, built for particular seeds or multiple seeds to the client's requirement, and supplied in the number a plant's capacity needs, with after-sales guidance on request. Benefits include low capital investment, high returns in a short span, high yield at low operating cost, longer life of wearable parts, precision manufacturing and assembly, and oil and cake quality similar to bigger expellers. The plants promote decentralised units that create livelihoods. Copra Cutter
Copra cutter, model TP-CC, that cuts dried copra balls into small pieces ready for crushing in a coconut oil expeller, at a cutting capacity of 300 Kg / Hour. Copra is the dried kernel of the coconut: it is well dried and cleaned of unwanted particles, then cut in this machine and fed into the expeller to extract copra oil. The cutter is made and exported as part of a coconut oil mill project. The TP-CC runs on a 4 HP Motor, weighs 200 Kg, measures 60(L) x 20(W) x 50(H) inches and takes 0.60 cubic metre. The cutter comes in two versions, motor driven and expeller shaft driven. The expeller-shaft-driven version suits budget buyers and needs more labour, since each copra is fed and pushed by a lever by hand. The teal machine has a funnel hopper on top, a large spoked pulley and a belt-driven motor on a shared base.
Mustard Cleaning Machine
Mustard Cleaning Machine
Mustard cleaning machine for seed processing, used to clean mustard seed by sieving out dust and other foreign matter. Seed is fed through a funnel-shaped top hopper onto stacked sieve screens with mesh decks, and the cleaned seed and separated fractions leave through angled outlet chutes. An electric motor on the base frame drives the screens through a belt and a large pulley. The open steel frame is finished in pale green-white, with a teal hopper, side straps and trim.
Sunflower / Soya / Shea Cracker
Sunflower / Soya / Shea Cracker
Sunflower / soya / shea cracker, model TP-SPC, that breaks sunflower seeds at 300 Kg / Hour into a mixture of kernels and husks ready for crushing. Cracking sunflower before crushing gives 2% more oil output, so the cost of the machine is recovered in less than 10 days. A 2 HP high-speed motor drives a rotor fitted directly on the motor shaft, and a switch to operate the machine is supplied. The teal cylindrical unit has a square top hopper, a crank handle and four splayed feet; installed units sit on green steel stands with the motor mounted at the side. Palm Oil Mill Plant
Palm Oil Mill Plant
Tiny palm oil mill for producing crude palm oil locally at the plantation, with a crushing capacity of one tone palm fruits per hour and a steam-driven design that makes the whole mill power independent. It is designed to help small plantation owners, especially in West African countries, process their own fruit, and one mill has been exported to Liberia. Its machines are completely different from a regular tiny oil mill. The mill comprises a sterilizer, palm fruits stripper, digester kettle, palm oil expeller, nut fibre separator, oil clarifier tank, water tube boiler and three steam engines: one for the expeller, one for the stripper and one driving an alternator that produces electricity for small motors and lighting. Palm bunches are steam-sterilized at atmospheric pressure for about 20 minutes in a cylindrical vessel that then tilts from vertical to horizontal, dropping them onto perforated trays to drain. The very sturdy stripper uses revolving beater arms on a 63mm Sqare shaft to throw the bunches until the fruits fall through square screen bars onto a bottom conveyor; a 10 HP steam engine drives it. Some experts say palm fruits separate only partially unless sterilized first, leaving a mill running at a loss. The belt-driven digester kettle sits on the expeller and cooks the fruits evenly in a jacketed vessel with revolving arms and live steam. The expeller has a chamber of 230mm dia x 750mm long, presses oil from the fruits while leaving the palm nuts whole, and has a cone gap that adjusts while running; it crushes 1000 kg of palm fruits per hour or more. A 20 hp steam engine drives the expeller and kettle, while the boiler is sized to give 40 hp for the oil expeller. Oil drains into a tank with a steam-jacketed bottom that keeps it hot. The nut fibre separator is an inclined revolving cylinder of wire woven screen, 1.5 mt. long and 40 cm in dia, turned slowly by an electric motor. The water tube boiler supplies at least 1.5 tones of steam per hour, also covering 10 hp for the stripper and 20 hp for electricity generation. The clarifier lets oil rise above water and drains it through a screen into a smaller inner vessel. The mills are built in batches of 20 under a group purchase scheme, and every buyer who joins receives a discount. Building 20 mills takes about 5 to 6 months; once 20 buyers have paid, the machinery is to be made and dispatched in 4 months, with all mills dispatched within 4 to 6 weeks in the order payments arrive. A local coordinator collects orders, guides payment and port delivery and serves buyers free of cost, paid by a 5% commission from the maker. Progress is shared through photographs and videos in a WhatsApp group, and plantation owners fully own their machinery. The green-painted machines run from flywheels and drive belts.
Automatic Oil Mill Plant
Automatic Oil Mill Plant
Automatic oil mill plant for crushing edible or non-edible oilseeds, offered in seven sizes from 3 TONS to 24 TONS crushing capacity per 24 hours. Bucket elevators and screw conveyors carry seeds and cake from one machine to the next. They take over the lifting and carrying that tires workers once a mill grows beyond a MINI OIL MILL PLANT of 1 decorticator and 1 expeller, which two persons can handle. Edible and non-edible oil each need a completely separate plant; only the boiler can be shared. Plants of 12 tons or more can crush 2 kinds of oilseeds at the same time, and customers prefer the 6 Tons and 12 Tons plants most. Automation applies to plants above 3 tons capacity. Where manpower is easily available at low rates, an owner may choose to run the plant manually. Capital requirement is as per proforma invoice plus working capital. For full extraction the seeds are crushed twice. The first crushing uses more steam heating and gives about 80% of the oil, leaving a cake about 10 mm thick with 12%-15% residual oil. The second expeller presses harder through its cake discharge cone, giving a cake about 3 mm thick with around 7% residue and the remaining 20% of the oil. Bucket elevators lift seeds and cake vertically to the expellers and suit medium to large mills. Each has a bottom intake section, a middle tank section that sets the height, and a top discharge section with an extended drive shaft; belt and chain types are offered. Screw conveyors move oilseeds and oilcake horizontally in bulk, using a shaft with a broad helical blade turning in a semicircular trough. They come in 8" and 10" sizes, and speed is changed by swapping pulleys. The maker builds and fits its own gear boxes, so after a long run only the small gears need replacing instead of the entire gear box. The teal-painted line includes expellers topped with cooking kettles and belt-driven flywheels, electric motors, inclined screw conveyors with drive heads, and a tall bucket elevator tower with a feed hopper. Edible Oil Extraction Plant
Edible Oil Extraction Plant
Edible oil extraction plant for groundnut, sesame, sunflower, soya bean, mustard, copra and other oilseeds, built around oil expellers of size 22" x 4" that each crush 2 to 3 tons per 24 hours. A typical plant has four sections, seed preparatory, oil expelling, oil filtering and oil packing, each with its own importance, which together make up the whole extraction plant. The plants are efficient, reliable, cost-effective and most sturdy. Oil is obtained by pressing, with the expellers playing the key role, and seeds can be cold pressed or hot pressed. The plant suits both edible and non-edible oil, each in a completely separate plant; only the boiler can be used in common. Adding expellers raises plant capacity in step. The line has teal expellers, inclined screw conveyors and a filter press, and a row of chrome taps pours oil into a trough. Oil Refinery Plant
Oil Refinery Plant
Edible oil refinery plant that turns crude oil into RBD edible oil, offered in 3, 5, 10, 15 and 30 TONS refining capacity per 24 hours. Oil from old or rotten seeds runs high in acid and develops a bad odour, and refining removes these impurities. Refining runs in three basic stages. In the neutralizer, caustic soda removes Free Fatty Acids (FFA) while thermic fluid coils heat the oil to about 60 °C and a stirrer mixes it; the soap stock settles and is drawn into a soap pan. The bleacher removes colour with carbon black and bleaching earth at about 110 °C under vacuum, and a filter press separates the earth. The deodourizer heats the oil above 110 °C, injects live steam through bottom nozzles and raises it to 220 °C under high vacuum to remove smell. A cooler and a second filter press then give completely refined, transparent, colourless oil. A thermic fluid boiler, vacuum pump, barometric condenser, catchalls and steam generator connect to the vessels through pipelines. For palm oil, a fractionation stage chills the refined oil in a crystallizing vessel with chilling pipe coils, and a filter press separates liquid palm olein (palm olene) from palm sterene cake. Its chilling plant includes a shell and tube chiller, compressor, motor, pump, condenser and control panel box. The 5 tonnes per day refinery runs 4 batches of 1250 kg each. Two neutralizers, one bleacher and one deodourizer hang from the first floor of a 14ft. x 14ft. (4.25mtr. x 4.25mtr) steel structure, 9ft. above ground, carried on 8 columns of double channel with a staircase and railings on all sides; two filter presses share that floor. Two soap pans with steam pipes and the raw and bleached oil tanks sit below. The cooler, thermic fluid boiler, two steam generators, vacuum pump, water pumps, oil pumps and refined oil tank stand around the structure, for a total of about 30ft. x 30ft. (9mtr. x 9mtr.); the space requirement for the 5 TONS size is listed as 1500 square feet. A 40ft. tower beside the deodourizer holds the barometric condenser. Pipelines are colour coded: oil yellow, vacuum blue, steam black, water white and thermic fluid red, with valves at all appropriate places. The neutralizer is open on top with a conical bottom and a thermic fluid coil. The bleacher, deodourizer and cooler have dished ends on both sides and double pipe coils: thermic fluid and cooling water in the bleacher, thermic fluid in both deodourizer coils, and cooling water in both cooler coils. Steam enters the deodourizer through stainless nozzles. Every vessel has a temperature gauge, and the deodourizer, bleacher and cooler have vacuum gauges. Green conical-bottom tanks, one marked "NEUTRALISER", stand beside clad vessels on a railed steel platform, with yellow conical-bottom tanks and a motor-driven vacuum pump at ground level. Jaggery Plant
Jaggery Plant
Jaggery plant (gur / panela plant) for making jaggery from sugarcane on the farm, built in two sizes with 1000 kg / hour and 1600 kg / hour input cane crushing capacity. Sugarcane is crushed in a sugarcane crusher for its juice, which is boiled in a pan fired with bagasse; a single boiling pan is suggested as more economical than a line of four pans. Impurities that rise to the surface are removed by scumming, and at up to 118 degree C the juice concentrates into a pasty, crystalline yellow mass that sets solid as jaggery on cooling. Boiled chemical-free up to 125 degree C and cooled fast by industrial fans, it becomes granulated jaggery, passed through 2mm sieves for uniformity and packed in bags as an organic substitute for sugar. The plant can run on independent steam power. A water tube waste heat boiler, typically 24" x 30" x 66" to 86", sits in the underground flue gas trench between furnace and chimney. It links to a horizontal 14" dia x 5ft to 6 ft steam drum about 1 ft above the ground, which carries the water level gauge set, safety valve and pressure gauge, with the boiler feed pump at its bottom and the steam pipe at its top. The steam runs a steam engine that drives the crusher in place of an electric motor or diesel engine, saving 35 to 40 liter diesel every day. A village level skilled welder can fabricate the boiler in 2 days; it is tested on a hydraulic testing machine up to 600 psi, and full guidance to manufacture it is offered. In one engineer's trial, a 10 mt (32.6 ft) chimney of 600mm dia made juice boiling double faster, with flue gas at 380 degree Celsius flowing 40 cubic meter per hour at 4.7 meter per second; about 20 KW power is put as the potential from that waste heat. Gur is the natural mixture of sugar and molasses, full of minerals and vitamins, and is promoted as the healthy alternative to sugar, which is listed with 59 dangerous side effects. 1000 kg of sugarcane gives 140 kg of gur against 100 kg of sugar, with 40 kg of molasses discarded in sugar making. A gur unit needs only 2% of the capital of a sugar plant of the same capacity (also stated as at least 100 times less investment) and provides 40 times more employment (also stated as at least 50 times). Net weight: 2800 kg / 4500 kg Input cane crushing capacity: 1000 kg / hour (24 Tons / 24 Hours) / 1600 kg / hour (40 Tons / 24 Hours) Electric motor: 12.5 HP , 3 phase / 17.5 HP , 3 phase Output: 3 tons / 5 tons Shipping volume: 10 Cubic meter / 15 Cubic meter
Sugarcane Juice Machine
Sugarcane Juice Machine
PIO sugarcane juice machine, a compact stainless steel juicer that crushes 120 kg / hour of sugarcane on a 0.5 HP, 1 phase electric motor. Capacity is listed as 300 Glasses / Hour, or 300 + glasses of 200 ml each, and also as "120 KG CRUSHING CAPACITY PER HOUR = SUGARCANE JUICE 360 + GLASSES". Juice is extracted completely in a single crushing, with 65% juice extraction by weight of sugarcane, so a second crushing is unnecessary. The full body and contact parts are Stainless Steel 304, the 3 solid rollers are food-grade SS 304, and the closed body with an inbuilt motor keeps flies and dust away from the juice. The 3 rollers are supported on both sides, the reduction gear box is helical (3 stage), the load bearing is heavy duty cylindrical, and a reverse mechanism helps with cleaning. At 41 kg, with handles on both sides, a 3 meters long cable and dimensions of 19" x 8" x 15", it moves easily from place to place, even on a two-wheeler, and runs anywhere with a single-phase electric connection. Power consumption is very economical, USD 1 for 5000 glasses. The machine is efficient, sturdy, noiseless and very simple to operate; even a child can easily operate it. It is described as zero maintenance, super hygienic, user friendly and offering 100% operational safety. A traditional 2-roller crusher needs a 2 HP motor, weighs 125 kg and reaches up to 57% juice extraction by weight after 4~5 crushings, giving 182 glasses from 80 kg per hour; the PIO uses 3 rollers, 0.5 HP and one crushing. Semi cleaning takes about 10 seconds: pour 2 glasses of water into the sugarcane inlet. For full cleaning, open the knob below the inlet anticlockwise, open the cover to reach the 3 rollers, run the machine in reverse, apply the supplied brush to the rotating rollers with some water while keeping hands away, then stop the machine and close the top cover. Regular cleaning is the only upkeep. The machine comes with a sugarcane cutter, a scrub for cleaning sugarcane sticks, a brush for cleaning the rollers and 2 strainers (small and big) to filter the juice. The steel cabinet has a green swirl front panel, a top cane inlet, a front juice spout, a red switch, a rotary knob and a hand-safety warning sticker.

Solar Textile Looms
Solar Textile Looms
This solar textile loom is a paddle operated loom fitted with a solar panel. It works in individual homes, so weaving runs as a home industry and factory construction is unnecessary. Solar power runs the loom effectively for 7 hours a day, say 9.30 am to 4.30 pm, weaving about 100 mt of cloth per loom. In the morning and evening the weaver works the loom by paddles for 4 to 5 hours in total and weaves another 50 mt, so each loom weaves 150 mt of cloth per day. The maker's mission is self reliance in primary needs, starting with cloth production in Africa: cloth made wherever cotton is grown, with yarn imported for a start. The plan is a cluster of only 40 solar operated looms converted from paddle looms. That gives 40 looms x 150 mt = 6000 mt of cloth per day, and over 200 working days, 1200000 mt, i.e. 1.2 million mt a year. At 12 mt of cloth per person per year for decent living, one cluster can produce cloth for 100000 people. The investment is comparatively low. Handlooms and solar powered looms hold huge potential for employment creation, self business and self employment, helping to reduce poverty and unemployment in villages.
