About ev charging cable
Charging cables link an electric vehicle's charger to the mains or a charging station. Listings here include charging cables and charger wires, typical of the leads used with e-rickshaws, electric scooters and portable chargers. Buyers compare current and voltage rating, conductor cross-section, copper purity, sheath material such as PVC or TPE, flexibility, cable length, plug and socket type, and resistance to sunlight and abrasion outdoors. Car charging uses connector standards such as Type 2 and Bharat AC-001, while light EVs often charge through three-pin plugs.
Buyer's guide
What to check
- Confirm the rated current and voltage for the charger
- Check the conductor cross-section in sq mm and pure copper strands
- Match the plug and socket type (for example three-pin, Type 2 or Bharat AC-001)
- Look for a flexible PVC or TPE sheath with UV and abrasion resistance
What to ask the supplier
- Ask for the cable length and the temperature rating of the sheath
- Ask for insulation resistance test data and the IP rating of the connectors
