About fuse box

Fuse boxes gather the protection for a vehicle's circuits in one place, holding fuses and often relays in a moulded block. Listings here are mainly commercial and farm applications: Ashok Leyland fuse boxes with relay and socket layouts, a universal Eicher Canter box for BS II to BS IV, a Farmtrac 60 box with jack, JCB-type boxes in 12, 28 and 48 pole sizes, Mahindra Bhumiputra and Maruti Van units, and glass fuse boxes. Buyers compare fuse type, pole and relay positions, terminal series, current rating, housing material, cover sealing and vehicle fitment.

Buyer's guide

What to check

  • Match the vehicle model and the fuse box layout (for example 4 relay or 5 socket)
  • Confirm the fuse type the box takes: blade, glass or mini
  • Check the pole count and terminal series on the mating connector
  • Look for a heat-resistant PA66 or PBT housing and a snap-on cover

What to ask the supplier

  • Ask for the rated current per circuit and for the whole box
  • Ask whether fuses, relays and terminals come fitted
