Paper labels for food and pharmaceutical packaging, printed self-adhesive on a Gallus EM340S flexographic press in up to ten colours. Food and healthcare labels are produced under the same roof, which brings added security and fast turnaround for healthcare packaging projects. The press can add screenprinting, cold foil, coating and lamination in line, and prints at a high resolution of 2% dot on material from 30 micron – 400 micron. A press comparator checks the "first off" pass against the customer-approved PDF, and a camera gives the operator a live view of every label during the run. After printing, a Scantech rewind machine with vision inspection checks every label 100% of the time, verifies barcodes and adds 6 lane sequential numbering. The inks are low-odour and Benzophenone free.
