Kairusi Idly Chilli Powder, also known as idly podi or idly chilly powder, is a homemade spicy powder for idly, dosa, uttapam and rice, sold in 50 gm, 100 gm, 200 gm and 500 gm packs. Red chilly, Bengal gram dhal, urad dhal, asafetida, curry leaves and sesame seed are roasted and blended for a bold, aromatic kick. It is 100% homemade from natural ingredients and free from preservatives. Mix a small amount with a few drops of sesame oil or ghee as a dip, sprinkle it straight onto hot idly or dosa, or stir 1-2 teaspoons with a teaspoon of ghee or oil into hot steamed rice for a quick meal.
