Gold Basmati Rice is a natural 1121 extra long grain basmati from India, cream in colour, in a 30kg pack marked "XXXL", "OLD RICE" and "EXOTIC AROMA". Known as "The Queen Of Aroma", Basmati grows mainly at the Himalayan foothills, whose soil and favourable climate suit the paddy and give a long grain with a natural, enticing aroma. This is steam rice, a parboiled cultivar partly precooked while the husk is still on, which helps retain nutrients. Naturally matured for more than one year, its grains elongate at least two and a half times on cooking and turn fluffy. Its quality is "100% Pure Sortex Clean" with high purity, and it keeps 12 months from the date of packaging.
