Classic Basmati Rice is an extra-long-grain, cream-coloured steam basmati marked XXXL, sold in 10 kg and 30 kg bags. Called "The Queen Of Aroma", the long grain has a natural, enticing aroma. Basmati is grown mainly in the Himalayan foothills of the Indian subcontinent, where the specific soil this paddy needs and a favourable climate help it grow. Steam rice is a parboiled basmati cultivar, partially precooked while the husk is still on; parboiling helps retain some nutrients otherwise lost while refining the grain. The grain is "100% Pure Sortex Clean", natural, high in purity and of Indian origin, and the bag is marked old rice and exotic aroma. The 10 kg bag is a white woven-look sack with two purple carry handles.
