Basmati Silver Rice is 1121 Silver Basmati Rice with an extra long grain, sold in a 30kg bag under the "Basumoti" (বসুমতী) brand and marked XXXL on the front. Billed as "The Queen Of Aroma", it is Basmati grown in the Himalayan foothills, whose specific soil and favourable climate suit this paddy, and the long grain has a natural, enticing aroma. It is offered as steam rice, a parboiled variety partly precooked while the husk is still on, which helps retain nutrients otherwise lost in refining. The grain is white, natural, "100% Pure Sortex Clean", of high purity and Indian origin. Marked OLD RICE, it is naturally matured for more than one year, and the grains elongate at least two and a half times on cooking.
