The words PLEASE SHUT THE GATE stand out in raised letters against a dark textured background inside a raised border. The finish is antique brass. Rounded end tabs each carry a screw hole for wall, door or gate fixing, marked 160mm hole to hole, and the plate is 5mm thick.
