About this product

Walcey Charcoal is a dark marble-look glazed porcelain tile, 60x120 CM, in a polished finish. A deep charcoal-grey ground carries lighter grey clouding, sharp white veins and fine gold-toned veining, and laid tiles show a glossy, reflective surface. The tile lists water absorption under 0.05% (ISO-10545-3), breaking strength above 1800 N (ISO-10545-4), glossiness above 92 GU (gloss meter 60°) and Mohs scratch hardness 5 (EN 101). Stain resistance is Class 5 (ISO-10545-14) and the reaction to fire class is Class A1 - A1 fl. Available sizes in CM: 100x100, 120x180, 60x60, 60x120, 30x60, 80x80, 80x160 and 120x120. Buyer's guide

What to check

Check water absorption, which is 0.5% or lower for porcelain tiles.
Check breaking strength, flatness and edge straightness (rectified edges).
Confirm the finish and slip resistance for the intended floor or wall area.

What to ask the supplier

Ask for conformity to IS 15622 or ISO 13006 and the batch test report.
Ask for box coverage in square metres and the shade and calibre code on each box.
