Punch Series 8206 Porcelain Tile 600 x 600 mm

Punch Series 8206 is the grey-toned take on the wood-and-marble inlay design: a 600 x 600 mm white body porcelain tile with a matt finish, for floors and walls in residential and commercial spaces. Charcoal and light grey wood-grain panels alternate with beige wood-grain panels in the outer frame, and the centre mixes grey wood-look squares, two warm brown wood-look squares and cream marble-look triangles with golden veining, with dark brown corner triangles. Thin black lines outline every piece. Laid together, the tiles build a grey, beige and brown star pattern. Each tile is about 9 mm thick. A box holds 4 tiles and covers 1.44 sq. mtr. Catalogue code: 8206

About porcelain tile

Fired at high temperatures from fine clays, porcelain tiles have a dense body with very low water absorption, which makes them hard-wearing on floors and walls. 600 x 600 mm is a standard size, and 3D series designs use digital printing to create depth in stone, wood and abstract patterns. Finishes include glossy, matt, satin and rustic. Buyers compare water absorption, breaking strength, surface hardness, abrasion class, slip resistance, flatness and print sharpness. Living rooms, offices, showrooms, hotels and feature walls suit porcelain, and outdoor-rated versions handle terraces and frontages.

Buyer's guide

What to check

  • Check water absorption, which is 0.5% or lower for porcelain tiles.
  • Check breaking strength, flatness and edge straightness (rectified edges).
  • Confirm the finish and slip resistance for the intended floor or wall area.

What to ask the supplier

  • Ask for conformity to IS 15622 or ISO 13006 and the batch test report.
  • Ask for box coverage in square metres and the shade and calibre code on each box.
