Town Nero is a 60x120 CM glazed porcelain tile with a concrete look and a matt with structure finish, from the Town collection. Its deep charcoal-grey face is flecked with small light and dark specks for an even, speckled concrete surface. Specifications include water absorption of < 0.05% (ISO-10545-3), breaking strength of > 1800 N (ISO-10545-4), surface abrasion resistance of Class PEI 4 (2100 revolutions) (EN 154), slip resistance (COF) of > 0.40 dry, > 0.40 wet (ISO-10545-17), stain resistance of Class 5 (ISO-10545-14) and reaction to fire Class A1 - A1 fl. Frost resistance and thermal shock resistance are both rated Pass. The Town collection also comes in Crema, Pearl, Smoke, Sand and Silver. - Check water absorption, which is 0.5% or lower for porcelain tiles.
- Check breaking strength, flatness and edge straightness (rectified edges).
- Confirm the finish and slip resistance for the intended floor or wall area.
- Ask for conformity to IS 15622 or ISO 13006 and the batch test report.
- Ask for box coverage in square metres and the shade and calibre code on each box.
