Ivory-ground silk on silk carpet KTSLK-232, hand-knotted in Kashmir in the GUMBAD design, 180 x 290 cm. Black lattice lines radiate from a rose-pink and ivory central rosette across an ivory field of fine floral motifs, inside layered borders of rose, sage and cream, with a navy edge and cream fringes. It is pure silk in its whole construction and its foundation, high density, single and high knotted at 576 knots per sq.inch. With the piles set at a 70 degree angle, the colour turns from a light to a dark shade from one side to the other. The carpet is light weight and weighs 11 kg.
