Natural un-dyed off-white cashmere wool Omani turban (masar) with star-flower embroidery, an Arabian massar handmade in Kashmir, India, also known as a musar. It is soft and light, with multi-colour embroidery. The off-white ground carries a border of large star-petalled flower medallions in pink, blue, brown and beige, linked by blue-outlined leaves and paisleys. A blue-outlined paisley motif rises at the corner, and the border is edged with a row of small buds. Size is 54" x 54", embroidery size is 4" and weight is 250grams.
