It is separated from coconuts while they are processed for Virgin Coconut Oil (VCO), then pressed in an expeller, free of chemicals and solvents. The oil is lighter in texture, with a subtle coconut flavour and the aroma and flavour characteristic of coconuts. It contains more natural antioxidants such as tocopherols, tocotrienols and phenolics than coconut kernel oil, and is richer in minor components like tocopherols, phenolics and phytosterols than oil from the kernel or whole coconut. It is unrefined, unbleached and undeodorized, 100% pure, unblended with refined oil, and free of additives and preservatives.
