Sharma 1.5 HP shevaya machine, a commercial vermicelli making machine for sewai sized for approx. 10 to 15 Kg capacity, suited to women entrepreneurs in Mahila Gruh Udyog (women-led home industries), small and medium food production units and local food businesses. It is also known as a sewai, sevai or atta shevaya machine and makes traditional sewai and atta-based vermicelli. A 1.5 HP single-phase motor at 220 V and 1440 RPM drives it from a domestic power supply, through a standard alloy mild steel bevel gear system with standard bearings of 6205 2RS & 32206. The heavy-duty fabricated MS body includes a cooling system for extended running. Two brass die sets of 88 MM diameter come with it; the die opening and dough consistency set the shape and thickness of the sewai. Power consumption is 1 Unit, weight approx. 100 Kg, and it is semi automatic. The brown-painted upright frame rolls on caster wheels, with a large flywheel pulley and handwheel on top, perforated metal guard panels, a stainless steel die barrel under the head and a flat base tray.
