About this product

Grasse Brown is a chocolate-brown double charge tile, polished, in 60x60 CM, with a marble look and part of the Grasse collection. Small cream and beige flecks are spread across the dark brown face, and laid tiles give a mirror-like, glossy surface in a square grid. Its water absorption is < 0.05% (ISO-10545-3) and its breaking strength > 2200 N (ISO-10545-4). Surface abrasion resistance is Class PEI 4 (EN 154), scratch hardness 5 on the Mohs scale (EN 101) and stain resistance Class 5 (ISO-10545-14). Glossiness measures > 70% (gloss meter 60°), frost and thermal shock resistance are rated Pass, and reaction to fire is Class A1 - A1 fl. Grasse Brown sits among 20 colours in the Grasse collection.

Buyer's guide

What to check
  • Confirm the type, PGVT, GVT, double charge or full body, and the size in mm.
  • Check water absorption, typically 0.5% or lower for vitrified tiles.
  • Check gloss level, flatness and rectified edges for tight joints.
What to ask the supplier
  • Ask for the PEI abrasion class and Mohs scratch hardness for high-traffic areas.
  • Ask for shade, calibre and batch codes on every box, and box coverage in square metres.
