Dariya stainless steel karwa (karva), model Karwa Bombay Sangli: a 500 ml mirror-finish ritual pot and pooja lota for Karva Chauth, Diwali, Navratri, Satyanarayan Pooja, housewarmings and weddings. It has a classic rounded body, a flared rim and a long, straight spout.
On Karwa Chauth the karwa is central to the prayer: it holds the water for Arghya, the water offering to the moon. After sighting the moon through a sieve, the wife breaks her fast with water from the karwa, offered to her by her husband. The pot is a symbol of prosperity, and it also serves as a pooja lota or a decorative piece on a festive thali. It makes an auspicious shagun gift for weddings, anniversaries, festivals and housewarmings.
It is made of food-grade stainless steel that keeps water pure, resists tarnishing, cleans easily and is dishwasher safe. It comes as a single 8" piece; an 8" set of 2 (1000 ml) is also offered. It measures 10D x 14.5W x 9H Centimeters, with an 8 cm spout, and weighs 100 Grams. Colour: silver.
