Medium duty lathe machine in grey, built from high-grade iron, with 215 mm centre height, 425 mm swing over bed and 700 mm swing in gap on a 1370 mm bed. It serves ironwork and metal shaping in workshops, factories, maintenance departments, educational training centres and industrial manufacturing, for skilled machinists and trainees alike. The machine is listed as automatic grade, with automatic operation, normal CNC capabilities and simple, easy-to-use controls, so operators of varying skill levels can machine consistently with less manual labour. Its iron construction and generous work capacity give stability and accuracy for medium-duty metalworking. It swings 250 mm over the slide, admits 500 mm between centres and has a 275 mm wide bed. The headstock has a 52 mm hole through the spindle, an M.T.-6 taper bore, a 6 T.P.I. spindle nose and 6 spindle speeds from 30 to 500 R.P.M. It cuts metric threads of 1 to 7 mm and inch threads of 4 to 28 T.P.I. through a 38 mm lead screw with 4 T.P.I. The tailstock has a 50 mm spindle die, an M.T.-4 taper bore and 150 mm spindle travel. The compound slide swivels 45-0-45 degrees; the cross slide is 175 mm X 400 mm with 235 mm travel, and the top slide travels 125 mm. Net weight is 600 kg.
