Heavy duty lathe machine for workshop turning and thread cutting, with 254 mm centre height, 450 mm swing over bed and 1000 mm admitted between centres on a 2130 mm bed. It is offered in between-centre lengths of 5'-6" (500 mm), 7' (1000 mm), 9' (1600 mm), 10' (1900 mm) and 12' (2500 mm). It swings 280 mm over the slide and 760 mm in the gap, on a bed 325 mm wide. The headstock has a 54 mm hole through the spindle, an M.T.-6 taper bore, a 6 T.P.I. spindle nose and 8 spindle speeds from 30 to 500 R.P.M., driven by a 2 H.P. motor and a buss type headstock belt. It cuts metric threads of 1 to 7 mm and inch threads of 4 to 28 T.P.I. through a 38 mm lead screw with 4 T.P.I. The tailstock has a 60 mm spindle die, an M.T.-4 taper bore and 200 mm spindle travel. The compound slide swivels 45-0-45 degrees, the cross slide measures 200 mm x 500 mm with 280 mm travel, the carriage measures 450 mm x 500 mm, and the top slide travels 150 mm. Net weight is 1300 kg, total height 1300 mm and floor space 1250 x 2500. The machine is finished in light blue, with a red pulley guard and handwheel, and stands on two box-type legs. Standard accessories are a face plate, chuck plate, steady rest, follow rest, motor pulley, change gears (S. W-13 and M. M.-3), two dead centres, a centre adopter and a tool post key.
