Light-duty all geared lathe machines in three bed lengths, models tagl-4, tagl-5 and tagl-6, for turning, facing and threading in light-duty manufacture, general engineering and plant maintenance. They are semi-automatic lathes built of iron and finished in blue, with a 1.5 kW / 2 HP motor on a 230 Volt supply. The solid iron build and simple controls give smooth, accurate operation and cut operator training time, while eight spindle speeds from 45 to 1000 rpm and a broad threading range add versatility. All three models share a 190 mm height of centre, 380 mm swing over bed, 250 mm swing over cross slide and 560 mm swing in gap, on a 2V & 2 flat bed 240 mm wide with a 125 mm gap length. The headstock has a 40 mm hole through the spindle and a "loo type" spindle nose. Cross slide movement is 190 mm and compound slide movement 100 mm. The tailstock has a 38 mm quill with an MT-3 taper and 125 mm quill travel. Threads run 4 to 70 TPI/45 and 0.4 to 7 mm metric, with a 32 mm x 4 TPI lead screw and a 25 mm feed shaft. Admit between centres is 550 mm for tagl-4 on a 1372 mm (4' 6") bed, 775 mm for tagl-5 on a 1600 mm (5' 3") bed, and 1000 mm for tagl-6 on a 1828 mm (6') bed. The machines are delivered across India in standard or customized packing with quick dispatch, and delivery time is 1 week.
