Terracotta clay water pot with a matching knobbed lid, one of the Indian clay water pots, for storing and cooling drinking water. Water kept in it is cooled to about 14 degrees Celsius and is said to have a refreshing flavor; many find this temperature ideal for drinking, between warm and chilled. The full rounded body tapers toward the base, with a narrow neck, flared rim, fine shoulder rings and a smooth orange-red finish. Made in red in custom sizes and shapes.
