Karamani- Black (Karuppu Karamani) is a 200 gms pack of black beans, classified as legumes. Also known as turtle beans because of their hard, shell-like appearance, black beans are the edible seeds of the plant. Like other legumes such as peanuts, peas and lentils, they are prized for their high protein and fiber content. The beans are glossy black and oval, each with a small pale mark at the hilum.
