Universal joint (UJ cross) for commercial and passenger vehicles, the cross-shaped coupling that carries drive between two shafts set at an angle, as in a propeller shaft. It has four arms, each fitted with a bearing cup, and a grease nipple at the centre for lubrication. Each joint comes with its circlips, which hold the bearing cups in the yokes. The cross is supplied in plain metal and in a green-painted finish.
