• Check the size marking, standard or undersize (0.25 mm, 0.50 mm and so on), against the crank grind.
• Confirm the lining type, bi-metal or tri-metal, suits the engine.
• Check oil hole, groove and locating tang positions against the original shells.

• Ask whether the set covers main bearings, connecting rod bearings or both, plus thrust washers.
• Ask for the engine codes the set fits.
