Stepped pin with a straight-knurled band, a precision turned metal component from a group made in diameters of 1 mm to 50 mm. It steps through a slim plain spigot at one end, a wider cylindrical body, then a narrower straight-knurled section finishing in a short plain end. The surfaces have a bright machined metal finish, with crisp steps between the diameters. Parts in this group are turned from ferrous and non-ferrous metals in lot sizes from 1000 to millions of parts, on CNC Swiss type sliding headstock turning centers, CNC single spindle turret machines, CNC turn mill centers, 2 axis CNC turning centers, multi spindle machines and cam operated Swiss type automatic lathes. Centerless and cylindrical grinding and honing are done in-house; heat and surface treatment are outsourced.
