Daga Plastic Industries is a Kolkata-based manufacturer and exporter of plastic chemical and pesticide containers, bottles, sanitiser and cosmetic packaging, ghee, dahi and sauce containers, grease and lube oil containers, paint buckets, edible oil cans, household and water buckets, 210 litre barrels, milk crates, and stretch, cling and silage films. Established in 1969, it specialises in needle blow moulding of irregular shaped parts on fully automatic computerized machines, alongside blow moulding, injection moulding and plastic moulded components made to customer specifications. The largest family is chemical containers (24 products): 5 litre HP, IBP, Combo, Pole and Phenyl types, a 10 litre Daga container, 20 litre stackable, round, semi-round, narrow-mouth and jerry can styles, 25 litre Mouzar and wide-mouth types, a 35 Litre/40 Kg. FOT container and 35 and 50 litre narrow-mouth containers, plus pesticide jerry cans, handled jars and bottles. Bottles (16) are mostly pesticide bottles in square, round, diamond, IMIDA and sleek-neck styles, with bleaching, juice, liquid soap and chemical bottles and a 50 ml bottle with spray. Sanitiser bottles and containers (13) cover 5 Ltr. combo, pole type and double-handle jars, flip-top, PET and square bottles, handwash bottles, and lotion and mist spray pumps. Edible food containers (12) include ghee jars, dahi buckets and sauce bottles, and grease containers (11) run from 500 Gms to 18 Kg. Lube oil containers (10) span 3.5 to 50 litre cans, pails and bottles, and paint containers (9) cover emulsion paint buckets from 1/2 to 20 litre and distemper buckets from 2 to 20 KG. Edible oil containers (7) come in 2 and 5 litre sizes, including a mustard oil container, and household buckets (7) run from 6 to 17 Ltr. The catalogue also includes cosmetic containers (6) such as flip-top, shampoo, pump and spray bottles and cream jars; stretch films (6) in hand grade, machine grade, coloured, narrow-width and jumbo rolls with a hand-held dispenser; water containers (6) as 10, 15 and 20 litre buckets and cans; milk crates (5); 50 kg construction chemical drums (4); 210 litre barrels in open and closed top (4); pails (4); 10 Ltr. dustbin buckets (3); push fit couplers (2); PVC cling film; silage packaging film; and a 16 Ltr. battery operated sprayer under the "DAGA SUPER" name. Pouches and laminates come as 2 layer, 2.5 layer, 3 layer, LD and standy pouches, 2 side and 3 side sealing pouches, and pouch in roll formation. The product line further takes in plastic screw caps, flip top caps, lids, agricultural components, spacers, packers, shoes, seals, hangers and industrial articles. Products are made under the "DAGA" brand for the lubricants, chemicals, food processing, agriculture, water treatment, paints, building and construction, industrial, electrical, textile and consumer segments. Its containers pack acid, chemicals, solvents, sauces, pickles, essence, adhesive, water treatment chemicals, lubricants, hair oil, edible oil, phenyl, resins, insecticides, pesticides and ink. It custom-designs and develops products for infrastructure, construction, interiors, packaging, electrical engineering, railways and defence, and runs cost-effective short-run programmes. Production runs on fully automatic computerized lines at two factory units, on Cossipore Road in Kolkata and in the Ruia Industrial Area at Khardah, backed by an in-house recycling facility that gives an advantage on base materials.
