Caliper Piston — open-ended
Caliper Piston — open-ended
Open-ended caliper piston for automotive brake calipers: a hollow machined cylinder with an open bore. Under hydraulic pressure in the caliper, the piston pushes the brake pad onto the disc. The pistons differ in wall thickness and bore: a thin-walled sleeve in a bright metallic finish, a glossy black piece with a thick end face and a smaller bore, and a smaller bright silver piece with a stepped inner bore. They come from a brake range engineered to reduce noise and increase durability, alongside master pistons and hydraulic components. Materials offered: aluminium, brass, SS, MS and plastic.
Master Pistons
Master Pistons
Master pistons for automotive brake master cylinders: slim, stepped pins turned with several shoulders and grooves along their length. In a master cylinder, the piston moves with the brake pedal and pushes brake fluid out to the brake lines. The range covers many profiles and lengths in glossy black, bright silver, satin grey and dark grey finishes, from short stepped pins and long slender stems to a larger spool-shaped piece with two wide collars. It sits in a brake line engineered to reduce noise and increase durability, alongside caliper pistons and hydraulic components. Materials offered: aluminium, brass, SS, MS and plastic.
Caliper Piston — closed-face
Caliper Piston — closed-face
Closed-face caliper piston for automotive disc brake calipers: a precision-machined cylinder with a flat, solid end face and a chamfered edge. In a brake caliper, the piston moves under hydraulic pressure to press the brake pad against the disc. The part is made in bright metallic and glossy black finishes and in more than one diameter. It belongs to a brake line that also includes master pistons and hydraulic components, engineered to reduce noise and increase durability. Materials offered: aluminium, brass, SS, MS and plastic.
Critical Components4 products
Screw Cap — silver, two threaded holes
Screw Cap — silver, two threaded holes
Precision-machined screw cap for automotive critical components, with an external thread and two threaded holes in its face. The cap has a silver satin finish, wrench flats between the thread and the head, and small notches on the rim. Its recessed face carries a raised boss with two tapped holes of different sizes. It is listed under critical components, a group that also covers air fork products, suspension components and pistons. Materials worked: aluminium, brass, SS, MS and plastic.
Piston
Piston
Precision-machined piston for automotive critical components, with a hexagonal socket in its head and a threaded stem below. The body is stepped, with two raised collars and grooves between them, in a silver satin finish. A red band runs around the threaded stem. It is listed under critical components, a group that also covers air fork products and suspension components. Materials worked: aluminium, brass, SS, MS and plastic.
Air Fork Piston
Air Fork Piston
Air fork piston for air-sprung suspension forks: a bright silver turned part with an internally ribbed socket at the top, a double flange with a groove between, a lower collar with a cross-drilled hole and a threaded stem with a red coating on its threads. In an air fork, the piston works inside the air chamber that serves as the fork's spring. It belongs to a range of critical components, including air fork products, suspension components and pistons, engineered to withstand harsh conditions in demanding environments. Materials offered: aluminium, brass, SS, MS and plastic.
Digressive Piston
Digressive Piston
Digressive piston for automotive suspension dampers: a machined disc in a bright metal finish with a raised central hub and bore, two rings of drilled through-holes across its face and a groove around the outer rim. In a damper, oil flows through the piston's ports, and the digressive design shapes how the damping force builds. It comes from a range of critical components, including air fork products, suspension components and pistons, engineered to withstand harsh conditions in demanding environments. Materials offered: aluminium, brass, SS, MS and plastic.

Rod Links
Rod Links
Rod Links for suspension assemblies, machined as black-finished blocks in two designs. One is a plain rectangular block with a small and a large round bore on top, marked with a curved two-way arrow reading "hard" and "Soft". The other carries a raised diamond-shaped flange with two small holes over its bore, next to a large round bore. Both have a threaded port on the side face. They sit in the seller's suspension components group, together with shock absorbers, struts and screw caps, aimed at ride stability, handling and control on the road. The range is made in aluminium, brass, SS, MS and plastic.
Screw Cap — black, REB marking
Screw Cap — black, REB marking
Black screw cap for suspension assemblies, with a centre ring marked "REB" and arrows pointing to minus and plus. The cap has a glossy black finish, flats around the outer rim and a small round opening at the centre of the marked ring. It is listed among suspension components alongside shock absorbers, struts and rod links. Materials worked: aluminium, brass, SS, MS and plastic.
Rod Link — stepped flange bore
Rod Link — stepped flange bore
Rod Link with a stepped flange bore, a black-finished machined block for suspension assemblies. Its diamond-shaped flange has two small holes and surrounds a bore that steps down to a smaller inner opening. A large round through bore runs across the block's rounded upper end. The part comes from the seller's suspension components group, alongside shock absorbers, struts and screw caps, aimed at ride stability, handling and control on the road. Parts in this range are made in aluminium, brass, SS, MS and plastic.
Rod Link — threaded side port
Rod Link — threaded side port
Rod Link for suspension assemblies, machined as a black-finished rectangular block with a threaded port opening on its side face. A raised diamond-shaped flange on top carries a large bore and two small holes, and a second large round bore sits beside it in the block's rounded end. It belongs to the seller's suspension components group, which covers shock absorbers, struts, rod links and screw caps for ride stability, handling and control on the road. The range is made in aluminium, brass, SS, MS and plastic.
Rod Guide
Rod Guide
Rod Guide for suspension use, a round machined part with a bright silver finish. A rod guide centres the piston rod as it moves in and out of a shock absorber or strut. This one has a flat front rim, a bore that steps down in stages to a small central through hole, and a groove machined around its outer surface. It is listed in the seller's suspension components group, which covers shock absorbers, struts, rod links and screw caps for ride stability, handling and control on the road. The range is made in aluminium, brass, SS, MS and plastic.
Screw Cap — three-slot centre
Screw Cap — three-slot centre
Screw cap for suspension assemblies with an open centre carrying an insert with three curved slots around a round middle hole. The flat outer ring has a bare machined metal finish with fine turning marks, stepping down to a recessed bore that holds the slotted insert. It is listed among suspension components alongside shock absorbers, struts and rod links. Materials worked: aluminium, brass, SS, MS and plastic.

The company

Mechanical engineer Uday Bhat started AB Auto Components in 2002 from a small rented space with a handful of workers, and grew it into a manufacturer of automotive components in aluminium, brass, SS, MS and plastic. Supply of brake components began in 2009, and the company touched a turnover of 20 cr in 2020. Other milestones include its "First ISO Certification" in 2008 and, in 2022, a full-fledged inspection facility alongside manufacturing. Unit-I stands on one acre at Dabaspet (Dobbaspet KIADB Industrial Area, Nelamangala Taluk), with a built-up area of about 30,000 square feet and over 100 employees. Unit-II, at the Tumkur Machine Tool Park in Vasantha Narasapura, has a built-up area of 14,000 square feet and was scheduled to begin production in October 2023. The company follows a "Quality First" approach. A two-tier quality control system runs online checks during production and a final inspection at dispatch, aiming at 100% quality with quantity, and the same quality standards apply to its suppliers and vendors. Named equipment includes a Citizen sliding head, Mitutoyo CMM, VMM and Contracer units, a Mitutoyo 2D height gauge, a profile projector and a roughness tester.
