Legend Traders

Legend Traders is a spice manufacturer in Uparhali, Palashbari, Kamrup district, Assam, with a 36-item list led by chillies, turmeric and pepper, alongside cardamom, cassia, ginger, cumin, coriander and other whole and ground spices. Its FSSAI central licence covers manufacture for export of turmeric powder, black pepper, ginger powder, cardamom, cumin powder and coriander powder, at 100 kg per day each, and wholesale of salts, spices, soups, sauces, salads and protein products. The licence names the business as manufacturer, exporter, trader/merchant and wholesaler. Turmeric comes in five types, Lakadong, Rajendra Sonia, Megha, hybrid and black turmeric, as powder, slice or finger. Chillies span Byjuri, Tepa, Mahyco and green and red bird's eye, each with stem or stemless, plus king chilli in oven dry, smoke dry and powder forms. Black pepper comes as 500 GL and 480 GL whole and as powder, alongside brown and reddish whole Sichuan pepper, mountain pepper and round pipple (gol pipple). Green and large cardamom come whole or powdered; imported cassia is split, roll or broken and Indian cassia split or roll. Ginger and mango ginger come as slice or powder, coriander seed whole or powdered, and cumin as white and black cumin. The list also includes cinnamon (roll, broken), tamarind, white and black sesame seed, sortex and regular poppy seed, bay leaves (handpick, semi regular, regular), star anise (flower, broken), stone flower (grinding, sorted, husk), manjistha, rosella, garcinia pedunculata, elephant apple and bael fruit. Legend Traders is a proprietorship run by Karen Kalita and has been GST registered since 29 January 2018. It keeps a godown at Principal Market Yards, Uparhali, and a further place of business at Pijupara, Nagarbera, Guwahati.
