Jack Plane (Corrugated Base), a hand woodworking plane for flattening, straightening and sizing boards before finer smoothing. Its base is corrugated, with lengthwise grooves running along the full metal sole. The body has a silver-grey metal finish, with a black front knob and a black rear handle for a two-handed grip. The cutting blade sits under a lever cap set at an angle across the centre of the plane, and the blade edge shows through the mouth in the sole.
