It sits in a pocket cut into the edge of a door, where the spring latch holds the door shut and a single turn of the key throws the bolt to lock it. The lock body is black with a satin silver faceplate and a brass-coloured latch and bolt. A square spindle hole takes the handle, and the keyhole sits below it. The two silver-coloured bit keys come on a ring.
