Silk cotton TWIN carpets SOSC-003, a set of 2 hand-knotted pieces at 50 x 90 cm, traditionally hand knotted in Kashmir. The design is a multi-motif combination of classical and innovative work, "TREE OF LIFE": a vase of flowering branches with birds on a coral-red field, inside layered borders, with cream fringes at both ends. It is hand-knotted pure silk on silk carpet, with pure silk construction and a cotton foundation (highly durable), at 324 knots per sq.inch. The piles sit at a 70 degree angle, so the colour shifts from a light to a dark shade from one side to the other. It is light weight and colour changeable.
