Shrink film is polyethylene film that tightens around a product or pallet load when heat is applied with a tunnel, heat gun or chamber. LDPE shrink film comes as flat sheet rolls, centre-fold rolls and tubing, and is used for bundling bottles and cans, wrapping cartons into multipacks and hooding pallets. Compare thickness in micron, roll width, shrink ratio in the machine and cross directions, clarity and the temperature range at which the film shrinks. Thicker grades suit heavy pallet loads, while thinner, clearer grades suit retail bundles.
